Moving Planet Rally September 24, 2011

A Day to Move New England and our World Beyond Fossil Fuels

Join a revolutionary ride on Sept. 24, 2011, from the streets of Lexington to Boston, warning our elected leaders, businesses and communities that it is time to get serious about moving beyond fossil fuels.

We must begin building a secure, healthy, just and sustainable future.

Citizens from across New England will be riding to Christopher Columbus Park in Boston to declare that we have the knowledge and the power to build a secure, healthy, just and sustainable future!

Everyone can participate! Starting at 2 PM, Lexington residents will be moving to Boston on their bikes, on the T or via Prius carpools.

The first group of riders will ride from Lexington Green to Alewife. They will then jump on the Red Line from Alewife to Park Street Station.

Alternatively you can catch a Prius carpool or the bus to Alewife Station. Parade marshalls will meet us at Park Street Station and direct groups of 25 people to the rally at Christopher Columbus Park.

A second group of riders will ride 12.5 miles from Lexington Green directly to Christopher Columbus Park. Once we arrive, our bikes will be safely parked and guarded by MassBike valets!
